Welcome to Wandersmedjan, the small forge, knife maker and metal artist duo from Sweden. I participate in historical markets and show visitors how a forge worked in ancient times, with hand bellows, Viking Age anvil etc.
I have made custom knives since I was 14 or so when I lived on my parent’s farm. Since then I have read and learnt a lot, practised a lot and improved a lot and eventually started selling the knives, forged art and jewelry that I make.
You can find my knives and jewelry all over the world and will find almost all happy customers.
I have built my own forge and made a workshop myself, slowly and mostly made by me, with most of the essential tools, benchgrinder, beltgrinder, drill and all that.
I often hand grind my knives and finish grind them by hand with sand paper and can offer both sand paper finish, brushed finish and polished blades, depending on the customer’s wishes.
I have trained sword fighting and have always had a great interest for knives and thus it came naturally that I started making my own. Check out the Gallery and see if you can find something you like, send me a request with a knife or some jewelry that you would like to have me make and I’ll see what I can do. My prices vary but are in general very low for custom made knives.
